200+ H&K employees volunteer for projects across London as part of its 2nd annual charity day

On the 30th April, over 200 Hill & Knowlton employees will be leaving their desks, to spend an action-packed day helping children and young people across London with the charity Kids Company.

On the day, H&K employees will be providing their support with a range of activities from decorating and gardening, to music lessons and art workshops, reflecting the wide variety of help that Kids Company provides children and young people everyday.

One of the most significant activities that the H&K team will take part in is ‘Colour a child’s life’, which will see staff helping to redecorate a family’s home in order to create a happier and healthier environment for their children.

Richard Millar, CEO of H&K said, “This is the 2nd year that our people will be spending the day helping a charity in London. It started last year, to coincide with H&K’s 40th Birthday, and everyone found it such a rewarding experience that they asked for it to be an annual event. Now it is!”

Hill & Knowlton is revving up for the day with a host of exciting fundraising events, including a 20 mile fancy dress run around Soho square, charity auctions and a cake bake tea party.

Kids Company was founded in 1996 by Camila Batmanghelidjh with the aim of providing practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children and young people. They provide a vital service, reaching out to 14,500 children across London from deprived and at risk areas, whose parents are unable to care for them due to their own difficulties.
