Fake Tan-go

In response to years of media referring to orange celebrity tans as being ‘Tangoed,’ H+K Strategies encouraged the fizzy drink company to trial its very own fake tan – Fake Tan-go! This initial ‘test-run’ proved hugely popular with media and consumers alike providing a an opportunity to officially launch Fake Tan-go to the world!

H+K Strategies worked with Tango to team up with a key retailer to help launch the product, fronted by an unlikely celebrity ‘face’ to provide a launch platform guaranteed to create mass talkability and interest throughout the UK and communicate Tango’s new brand essence; ‘the side effects of drinking too much Tango.’

X-Factor’s notoriously neon white judge, Louis Walsh was Tangoed by the H+K Strategies team in a truly Tango-esque style photo shoot and video, which was issued to all media to coincide with a day of national broadcast and print media interviews including BBC Radio 1, The Sun, New and Zoo magazines with the Irishman, where he told the nation of his new found love of Tango fake tan.

Louis and the Tango team also visited Newcastle (the home of the most orange Brits according to a poll previously conducted by the fizzy drink brand), where the X-Factor judge met many adoring fans and shared his Tango fake tan regime tips with the public and media guests.
