Simon Whitehead Joins Hill & Knowlton's Leadership Team as the New Head of Energy & Industrials

Hill & Knowlton (H&K) has strengthened its Energy & Industrials team with the strategic hire of Simon Whitehead as the new sector head. Simon will be leading a team of 15 talented PRs and working on brands such as Sabic, Statoil and ITIDA. Simon joins H&K from College Hill where he was a partner in the financial and corporate comms division.

Simon successfully led College Hill’s energy and natural resources financial and corporate communications practice for four years and has expertise in oil and gas, renewables, mining, power generation, transport and infrastructure. He worked on IPOs, M&A and other financial and corporate issues with many clients across the sector including Gamesa, Sea Trucks Group, PSN, Royal Bafokeng Nation, TransContainer, 3Legs Resources and Jubilant Energy. He also built and co-led a new Russia/CIS practice whilst supporting the development of the emerging markets business across India, Africa and CEE.  

Prior to College Hill, Simon was Director of Emerging Markets at APCO Worldwide. Whilst at APCO Worldwide, Simon led strategic comms, public affairs and litigation comms campaigns across Europe for the likes of GML, Raytheon, Norilsk Nickel, Alfa Telecom and the Presidency of Ukraine.
