H&K Xcellence Awards 2010

The Hill & Knowlton annual Xcellence Awards recognise and celebrate the people at H&K London: their talent, their commitment and their contribution to our clients and to life inside the agency. As always, the awards were celebrated in style. The 2010 theme was wonderful in white and each of the teams dressed up as something white; from ballerinas to lab coated scientists, to East 17 (Stay Another Day), to Greek Goddesses, naval officers and angels... everyone made an effort. With a total of 108 entries, competition for the Awards was so fierce, that there were joint winners in two categories. All the winners won because they demonstrated one value in particular – boldness. The boldness to go that little bit further, to put themselves beyond their comfort zone to deliver the very best outcome for their clients and their colleagues.

The categories are:

  • Best Campaign – this award celebrates the H&K campaign of 2010 with the greatest impact, whether it be in driving sales, getting bums on seats or protecting a brand in a crisis
  • Best Collaboration Award - this award celebrates the best collaboration, whether it’s within H&K London, the H&K network or even the broader WPP network
  • Best Client Service – this award celebrates an individual or team who has demonstrated pure excellence in Client Service
  • Best Integrated Campaign - this award recognises the best integrated campaign of 2010. Which campaign deployed multiple disciplines creatively and effectively to deliver outstanding results for a client
  • Xtra Mile – for the team or individual within the agency who went above and beyond the call of duty for their clients or the agency
  • Rising Star – recognises the individual who has shown drive, initiative, creativity and ambition
  • The H&K’er – celebrates the person who best embodies the H&K Way, who represents everything H&K is and should be
  • And finally the Wooden Spoon award for the greatest catastrophe....but that is our secret...
