We increased brand association with a key ambassador for adidas

H+K Strategies were challenged to create a concept that would increase the association between adidas and the World’s best football player, Lionel Messi, ensuring the brand had ownership and differentiation from its competitors.

The resulting “Catch Me If You Can” campaign involved Messi coming to London to participate in a series of challenges, however the only way you could find out how to take part was to engage with adidas through social media (adidas facebook and blogger partnerships).

The campaign was a huge step change for adidas.

Results included: 3.5 million young football fans following the journey with over 7,000 turning up to the events during the day. 250,000 facebook feeds talked about the activity and 368,000 people tweeted about it. National broadcast covered the event throughout the day and the event resulted in National print coverage hit the following day.
