Positioning the Aviva UKA Academy as the new home for all of Aviva’s grassroots athletics activity

H+K Strategies identified a unifying framework and worked closely with Aviva and UK Athletics to establish the Aviva UKA Academy as the new home for Aviva’s grassroots activity.

To launch the Academy (June 1) H+K Strategies took Olympic Gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu back to her old school where she and UKA Chief Executive Niels de Vos hosted a mass coaching session. We developed a news angle that revealed that teenagers spend 20 times longer in front of a TV/computer than they do playing sport and then took the Academy on tour with 11 Regional Masterclasses hosted by GB + NI Team athletes, visiting venues from Perth to Southampton and Cardiff to Norwich.
