Delivering the most successful PR event for Castrol in 2009, delivering nearly £3 million of PR Value in Europe

A media event with the most expensive football player in the world is tough at the best of times; co-ordinating and delivering coverage across 18 European markets is an even bigger challenge.

But that’s exactly what H&K did in October – playing the European agency lead to M&C Saatchi’s global role – when Cristiano Ronaldo helped Castrol launch the Castrol Rankings, the world’s first objective rankings based on the actual performance of every football player across Europe’s top five leagues.

H&K has worked with Castrol since 2006 and acts as the co-ordination network for all Castrol’s European markets as well as looking after the UK activation. The launch of the Castrol Rankings was the most successful PR event for the brand in 2009, delivering nearly £3 million of PR Value in Europe.
