Catherine Cross / Lead Counsel, Media Training
I love training for the satisfaction of seeing people make huge improvements within a short space of time - even those who were shy, nervous or initially hostile to any sort of media exposure.
Catherine has 18 years of media and presentation training experience and was awarded Approved Trainer status by the CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) every year between 2003 and 2012, when the scheme ended.
Catherine has trained numerous internationally-renowned people, from CEOs of FTSE 100 companies to leaders of international sporting organisations, members of Olympic bid committees to politicians and foreign dignitaries. She has helped organisations handle crisis situations such as brand criticisms, boycott campaigns, funding rows and reputational attacks. She has also advised companies for positive campaigns and raising their media profile.
Catherine combines invaluable experience gained in both the journalistic and PR fields in her training. She trained in print and broadcast journalism at the University of Colorado and on one of the BBC’s Reporter Training schemes, before spending ten years as a reporter, producer and presenter in local radio, BBC network radio, Regional Television, and at the World Service.
