Sam Lythgoe
I have been at Hill+Knowlton Strategies for more than a decade: starting in our technology team, then running one of the firm's biggest accounts before going on to build one of the first Consumer Tech practices back in 2001.
Since 2007 I have been Head of Business Development which means I am lucky enough to sit at the centre of the business and truly have an aerial view of the agency. Having worked 'account' side enables me to truly listen to a brief and understand the client's needs and then make sure the right team and right efforts are put towards winning it! Having run both global and UK PR campaigns for large and small companies for more than a decade hopefully means I understand both business and communications challenges and can give realistic advice.
Being responsible for our marketing and communications also means I have to stay up to date with all the latest digital developments, which being a bit of a gadget girl at heart is a bit of a thrill to be honest! You can find us on twitter, linkedIn, facebook as well as check out our blog.
Married with two boys under 4 my interests now seem to revolve around football, rugby or generally tearing about a park although I do still manage to fit in some girly shopping every now and again!
Many a moon away I graduated with a Double Degree: 2.1 Bsc (hons) in International Business and Modern Languages from Aston University and an equivalent MSc in Business with a Sales/Marketing specialisation from the Ecole de Management Strasbourg. I still have pretty good French and surprisingly ok German.
