Training + Development / The Hub™
Supporting daily on-the-job learning, we have an internal academy, the Hub, which delivers a range of bespoke, interactive training at all levels, from interns to senior leaders.
The Hub programme is designed to provide the depth and breadth of skills our people need to become trusted advisors to their clients and to each other. Some of the current modules on offer include: coaching and mentoring, presenting, networking, facilitation skills, creative thinking, financial management, active listening and SEM.
And our curriculum doesn’t stand still. Continuous feedback from our teams help us to refine our content and, as new skills challenges appear, we adapt our offering to keep it current.
Now in its sixth year, The Hub has well established credentials both inside and outside H+K. Described as best in class by industry experts, it is one of the main reasons people want to join us and why they stay. It has also inspired a culture of better knowledge sharing: several people have turned a personal passion into a peer-to-peer learning session, or stepped forward and offered themselves as training faculty.
As well as our locally-developed modules we also deliver training from the H+K University, our global training and development platform, that combines best practice from around our network in core consultancy and communications skills.
Complementing our internal training are a variety of external providers and experiences. After all, our clients look to us to ‘bring the outside in’. So as well as encouraging attendance at exhibitions, openings and events, each year we send several H+Kers to major industry events including Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Eurobest, Mobile World Congress, SXSW and CES.
An internal programme of digital briefings, share-and-learn sessions and Storytelling events bring teams across the agency together to share insight, discuss the latest trends, delve into the latest platforms and consider fresh new approaches to narrative. Our talented creatives alternate with a roster of amazing external speakers, the likes of which have included Spotify, Pinterest, Google Cardboard and Cannes Lions Innovation award winning start up what3words.
